tomorrow we say goodbye to weekday preschool. it's hard to believe that i will no longer be driving any of the kids to and from this school everyday. i cannot begin to express what this place means to us. a safe place for our kids to grow, learn and play. i know that tomorrow will be a hard day. many of the teachers and staff have become my dear friends and i know that we will stay in touch, especially now that we can be fb friends. but it just won't be the same.
in 8 years we . . .
said good morning to teacher debbie everyday...
were excited every time we got the share bag...
celebrated 11 birthdays...
went on some cool field trips...
got to spray water at the fire station...
mailed valentine cards at the post office...
read books together...
rode the tire swing til we were dizzy...
rode bikes...
played on the swing...
and fell in love with trains...
were in the blue, red, orange and green doors but never in the purple or yellow doors...
came home covered in dirt...
took 4 mommy and me classes...
where i was encouraged, supported and learned about being a good parent.
shared this picture of our newborn baby sister...
made friendships that will last a lifetime...
never brought home the class pet phew...
came to school in our pajamas...
brought our dad's and grandpas to school...
made flower pots and hand prints with our moms and grandmas...
learned about science without realizing it...
supported other families...
got our haircut by our teacher...
had a forest in our classroom...
ran to school on most days (but cried some too)...
made cool art...
had the most amazing teachers...
that taught us more than our abc's...
like listening to each other, using our words, and respecting other people's feelings...
they fixed our booboos, gave us words when we didn't have them and loved being silly with us...
we will never forget our years here...thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!
