2014 weekly menu #49

this pumpkin cheesecake was so pretty and delicious.

so starts the season of lots of eating and celebration.  we had a relaxing thanksgiving in paso robles with bobby's family and especially loved hanging out with baby aiden.  the pies were yummy but that pumpkin cheesecake (a last minute addition) was the hit of the dinner - well that and the sausage stuffing.  i'll be making it again for sure this holiday season.

december is off and running.  our christmas tree is up, house is decorated, christmas music is playing everywhere, we've had our share of chestnut praline lattes, christmas cards are ordered, we are making our christmas wish lists and the calendar is full.  it's going to be a merry month.

saturday: mexican food (it's becoming a weekend tradition necessity around here)
sunday: homemade pizza to celebrate bobby's birthday - i made 8 pizzas!

monday: salmon, hummus and goat cheese salad - bobby's request
tuesday: chicken tortilla soup - perfect for this rainy weather
wednesday: entomatadas, rice
thursday: turkey lettuce wraps, fried rice
friday: chicken pesto panini, salad

hope your december is off to a good start.  i'm really hoping to post more often this month.  i have my december book that i want to share, lots of weekend photos and the new orleans trip.  i've decided not to post a link on Facebook every time so just remember to stop by once in a while to see what i'm up to.
