sometimes this is the only quiet i will know in the day.
before the chaos.
the business of life.
the needs that must be met.
the stillness of this moment will energize me for hours.
i can breathe
and think
and plan.
it is never wasted.
and it is always good.
it is brief.
it doesn't carry burdens.
or judgments.
or things gone wrong.
it is bright.
hopeful.
and filled with possibility.
and then it's over.
that quiet little moment.
